News

Custom Slots are currently closed but there are pieces available!

I am currently pregnant with our second child, so I have scaled back on doing glass work for now to be extra safe with the pregnancy until possibly the fall of 2025 (due to the lead soldering). I'm wrapping up some customs, but I'm not adding any more pieces to the existing inventory at this time. There are a few skull & glass pieces available below in the collections! Click here to view them. And all pieces from the Suncatchers & Stained Glass Collections are still made-to-order and shipped out ASAP after an order is placed. Thank you so much for your patience during this busy season of life for my family! I hope you are all having a wonderful spring.

Getting Started...

Sarah is a dream to work with. She has plenty of good ideas and gladly took ours into account to make a really stunning piece! Craftsmanship is wonderful. We're honored to have this one on our wedding cake and we're already getting lots of compliments! Can't recommend enough!

Betsey

Our piece couldn't be more perfect. Sarah was so easy to work with, and she created such a cool gift for my husband. Looks perfect in our window!

Lauren

I purchased a suncatcher for a friend who lives in sunny Arizona. She loved the suncatcher - especially the beautiful colors!

Susan

The notecards are crisp and clever and folks loved getting them!!

Sally

This (Woman of the West) could not have turned out better! I got it for my wife who is a strong woman and reminds me a lot of this piece. It's amazing and she has it hanging in her office window. I've bought multiple pieces from Jam's MidtoWest Art and they have all brought happiness to our home! Will be back again.

Joe

Love it (The Bird of Paradise). The sun is beautiful filtering through.

A Little Bit of Background

Originally from northwest Indiana, I moved to Ohio for college and graduated with a degree in interior design from Miami University. Shortly after, I moved to a small town in the mountains east of San Diego, California and worked for an incredible artist named James Hubbell, whose studio taught me a wide range of trades. While working there, I was fortunate enough to learn some woodwork, metalwork, mosaics, stained glass, gallery exhibit preparation & more.

Working there as well as Hubbell & Hubbell - an architecture firm - and other jobs on the side, ultimately gave me the confidence to be fearless with what I wanted to do in my own work.

After my husband got a job as a ranch hand in central Montana, we moved here together in the summer of 2021. So, as we seem to be in the business of taking big chances, I decided to start my own business.

The first skull I worked on was one I found on a hunting trip with my brother in Arizona. After painting a phoenix on the skull and adding stained glass on either side to extend the wings, I gave it to my brother. After that, I knew that I wanted to keep working with bone and glass. While I was finishing that skull, my husband continued to bring back skulls that he found in the pastures that he works in. I never was very inspired with a plain piece of paper. What I really loved was accentuating the beauty that was already there and giving something another life. As of late, I've mostly been focusing on glass pieces, but I occasionally will still work on a skull. Please know that very purchase means the world to me.

Thank you for being here.

Skull Art

I decided to combine glass and skull art because they are both things I love and glass is a way to extend the design painted on the skull into areas beyond the skull itself.

Stained Glass

One of the things I love about glass is how the light changes the piece throughout the day. This is an example of why I love using both mediums of paint and glass art.
